They have two daughters; Denise of Atlanta, Georgia; Donna of Cleveland, Tennessee and two grandsons, Jordan, and Preston Scoggins (a senior at Lee University).

For 54 years Walker has distinguished himself as a very successful and prominent church leader.  He has demonstrated exemplary leadership in varied areas of ministry in the Church of God beginning as an Evangelist, Pastor for 6 years, State Director of Youth & Christian Education for 18 years, Assistant Director of General Education for 2 years, President of Northwest Bible College for 4 years, President of the Church of God Theological Seminary for 4 years and is now in his 24th year as a State Overseer… serving uniquely for an unusual second term appointment as the Administrative Bishop for the State Executive Offices of the Church of God for the State of Tennessee.

Walker has served the denomination in strategic committee appointments which include the Ministerial Reinstatement Committee, the Loan and Review Committee, the Budget and Review Committee, served as an official Parliamentarian for the Church of God,  served on numerous other committee assignments as… member of the General Education Board, Chairman of the World Mission Board, Chairman of the Chaplains Commission, member of the Lee University Board of Directors , Chairman of the Lee University Building Committee, a member of the International Building Committee,  and is currently actively involved in many of the committees and boards previously listed.

Walker is currently serving his 8th term and 16th year as an elected member of the Church of God Executive Council of Eighteen.

Author of numerous articles and published works. An internationally popular minister, speaker and educator, frequently speaks for denominational and faith-based meetings, retreats and camp meetings throughout the United States and other countries.

Don Walker was born in Michigan when his father was serving there as State Overseer,  but the family soon moved to Florida and from there he lived in many states as his Father served as State Overseer.  Finally, as a young teenager, Cleveland, TN became home when his father, Paul H. Walker, became the Director of World Missions.  During those years Don lived  very close to the North Cleveland Church which was his home church.   The altar was not an unfamiliar place for him while he attended High School at the Lee Academy and then Lee College.  During most revivals he spent time on his knees at the N. Cleveland altar.  When Jackie Touchstone came to Lee in 1956 – a romance was born.  In 1958 they were married and  both have been actively involved in official ministry appointments since 1960.
