S.O.A.R.

Modern-day ministers…

… are fighting for survival against burnout. Research indicates that 80% of those pastoring today will not retire as pastors. It has been proven that intentional, purposeful rest and renewal can bring healing to the person of the pastor, to the ministry of that pastor and to the local church. Therefore, the Tennessee Church of God State Office is passionate about the launch of a sabbatical ministry (S.O.A.R.) for its pastors and churches. Our S.O.A.R. program will help to provide a season of active rest for those pastors who find themselves in need of taking a temporary reprieve from their pastorate. Administrative Bishop T. Wayne Dority has committed to providing the necessary resources to make sabbaticals available for pastors who wish to apply for this incredible program.
